23/09 OPENSPACE: «Asexual people»: narrative meet-up as part of series «Live stories of LGBTQ+ community» (Evgeniya Monastirskaya, Moscow)
- 19:00 / loft COM.NATA / 136 Obvodnogo Kanala Embankment
LGBT author and activist from «Resource LGBTQIA Moscow» Eugenia Monastyrskaya will lead a discussion from the series «Real Stories of the LGBTQ+ Society» called «Asexual People». The participants will talk about themselves and their experiences and will answer Queerfest guests’ questions.
«For many of us, having a sexual life is almost as natural of a need as a need for food or relaxation. And so, it is sometimes difficult to imagine that there are people for whom sex does not play any role at all. Asexuality — you´ve definitely heard this definition. But what do we really know about it?» — Eugenia poses.
The participants of the meeting not only will enjoy the conversation with asexual people, but will also have a chance to appreciate the poetry and prose of those who can express their experience of asexuality in a literary way.
The duration of the discussion will be two hours.
